When Maiko and I came to work this morning we found this note in the office:

It says: Eat, eat, eat all you can!!

今朝出勤したら面白いメモ発見！ 

It seems Hiroki has been at home in Gunma prefecture and brought back all kinds of the local speciality "Gateau Rusk". It's some kind of hard bread covered in sugar or chocolate, and it's very tasty.

スタッフのHirokiさんは群馬県の実家に帰ったらしいです。

お土産は色々な種類のガトー・ラスクを買ってくれました。

This is one of the things I love about working with Japanese co-workers. Whenever someone makes a trip somewhere, they bring back some local food for those who stayed at home.

This tradition is called "Omiyage".
